Fall collection in progress

Sewing up M's own designs has been such a great experience. Mainly watching her eyes grow bigger and bigger when she sees her drawings come to life. We have used fabric from Bryan's mom and grandma's stashes. (As well as using their vintage patterns!) Making this all in all a free sewing experience.

The pieces that look more professional were sewn by Bryan's mom. She is an expert and offered her help. Thanks Grandma for the help, the fabric, and the patterns.

With a few more pieces to sew up....I'd better get sewing.

  8. She is so lovely. The clothes are adorable too. I love the bottom of the dotted dress, what did you use to make such a cool ruffle?
I really need to cut Kitty's hair, maybe it would look as cute as Milli's.

  9. abbi, to make the ruffle i just cut the fabric like her picture, then sewed double fold bias tape along the hem.

lisa, you know i'd be happy to sew for you!

  12. Pam, I love what you do. You are amazing. And your dad is cool too! I'm going to set up an appointment next time I am in town (October) and I am dead serious. Maybe we should plan a crafternoon.... I'm having too many ideas right now. We'll talk when they catch up with me.

By the way, we are coming up for a Chump reunion show, if you want to rock-n-roll on Oct. 10.

  28. I am utterly blown away. Have never come across your blog before today, but I don't think I'll be able to stop thinking about this for a long, long, time. To have your sewing talent is one thing, but to turn that into such a monumental thing for your daughter is another. You take the cake. I don't comment on others' blogs often, and usually never for people I'm not familiar with, but I had to make an exception. This project is incredibly inspiring.

    This is so inspiring!
