This is Salt Lake

Have you seen these books by Miroslav Sasek? They are so beautiful. And fun. Especially if you have a "thing" for Europe. So this week is Book Week at our house. (Yes! Another theme).

We are going to document our summer adventures to Salt Lake, M. Sasek style. We will be making our very own "This is Salt Lake." But first, take a peek at "This is London".

On Monday the children and I spent the morning in Salt Lake. Here are the first sketches, which I will then turn over to the kids to paint. To say that my drawing skills are rusty is an understatement. But it is what it is.

I love what you are doing! I found you through Cassandra Barney's blog. I also studied in Florence Italy for 2 months and am hoping to find the balace between being both a mom (someday) and an artist. Way to go! It is good to know we are not alone in our efforts and that we have such great examples.

Oh my! You have the coolest kid crafts! I am an artist (I found your site from Cassandra's) and always wish I had the ideas and energy for such activities. I think I will just steal your ideas.......I hope you don't mind....

Pam, your ideas are amazing! When jack gets to be about pre-school age I may have to steal some of them!
