M designs: part 2

On these last two designs of M's (see first post and second post), I took a few unauthorized liberties, and she let me know it. I really should have known better. I made them work, and she loves them, but there are a few things she wishes I would have stuck with.

For one: on the drawing on the right you will see a jagged, almost pirate-y skirt. I just implied the jagged edge with appliqued triangles. And the skirt fabric really is striped, it's just a little hard to tell in the picture.

She loves this and is completely happy with it, but really had hoped it was backless, as she specified to me several times. I just couldn't see sending my 5 year old to school in a backless dress.

So the school clothes come to a close. Truly, one of the best creative experiences a mother and her child could have.

what's wrong with showing some skin? :) I love how the last 2 creations turned out. AND the fabric! You going to do this for Liam next year, and Milli's 1st grade requests?

I am *so* impressed! And now I really want to learn how to sew. Just amazing - her fashion sense, I mean - and what a lucky little girl to have such a gifted mom.

The last 2 are just as cute as the previous outfits! I love the last dress so much, I just might make a grown-up version for myself! Hahaha.

Very cute designs. That might be right up Izzy's alley! She would love, LOVE to design her own clothes. She has lots of fashion ideas in that head of hers.

Great work Milli and Pam. Really great. I am waiting for the clothing line to start so I can buy them off of the rack! :) I love the first dress. The triangle on the ends is so adorable.

If I could find this fabric, I would make one of these for myself, it's lovely. Tell Milli she has a great design talent!

You are the best Mom ever to do this! This is so much fun! Makes me wonder what my daughter would draw.
Can't remember how I got here, but loving it! Thanks!

I am so in love with your designs that I made my sister look at them. Then I got kind of embarrassed when I started explaining how I (cyber) know you- the chain was so long.

I love them. I want to order some. Then Kitty and Eva can run around as matching cousins in the cutest dresses ever.
