Mom makes a crappy monkey

I pause the photo story to tell the part that has no picture. See, that monkey is sewn and Liam wanted it right now, so I opted for a glue gun to put the thing together in a matter of minutes instead of a matter of 30 minutes. Problems quickly became apparent to detail oriented Liam who could not "stuff" the monkey's legs and arms because the glue seam eats up too much of the space. So the monkey I made Liam could only have his belly and head stuffed. Way too sub-par. Liam proceeded to lose it, for about 45 minutes.

It's so nice to see your human and make mistakes. And, it's so sad to see Liam cry.

Hee..Hee...Hee...Hee....Coops also had a 45 min. fit today. Not over a fabulous almost-stuffed monkey that his mommy spent time making with him--just over yelling to me. Then he cried himself to sleep. Yeah! You're a better mom for ATTEMPTING a craft with Liam. Kudos!

That monkey isn't jacked! I think its a great monkey, he's just used to getting above average monkeys I think.

glue?!?! sounds like something i would do! when you set standards so high, there's no going back! glue is totally expected from my kids!

Awww...poor Liam. And all he wanted to do was stuff the arms and legs-is that too much to ask for? Pam, I love your kids!

Poor Liam!! That story is so funny for so many reasons! Did you end up making him another monkey?

You make me laugh. That is the best story. Too think that some people might view being at home with kids boring and mindless. Those people should read your blog.
XOXO

I agree with Jodi, he's just used to higher standards!! It's very cute by the way!

Your an awesome mom for even doing this. Who ended up throwing the monkey away???

pamela said...

Liam threw it away. however, today he dug it out and started playing with it. which is gross, since it spent a day in a garbage.

That is quite the story. Needs to be put in a put for him. The facial expression is a classic too. If you can have fun with the fits things are much better.
