This past weekend it was time for our annual Halloween party with the Boston's and the Pond's.(see Jessie's kind review of the party here)
The kids make it more and more fun every year, this year being the first year the donut eating truly happened with hands behind backs. Henry determined to finish without hands even when everyone else was long gone.
Of course we had a craft - the kids made halloween cat shirts.
I attempted some coffin-shaped brownies, thanks to inspiration from Martha Stewart, however, mine look kind... not professional. Oh well. I guess I am not a pastry chef so that is ok.
Todd did pretty well in the donut eating contest, but then again, he was the oldest contestant.
And not related at all, today I left Bryan and L alone together for 5 hours and I came home to find they'd pretty much been scanning their faces the whole time.
Thanks for the fun party!
ReplyDeleteBryan is such a fun dad! I love how Liam is peeking over at him.
I am LOVING the face scanning. It's better than photo booth.
ReplyDeleteThe face scans are great--and the coffin brownies look pretty coffinee to me.
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! (The party and the face scanning)
ReplyDeleteLooks fun Pam. I love your shirt-where did you get it so I can copy you? The brownies look awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI want to eat those coffins. I miss brownies so much!
ReplyDeleteI dreamed the other night that some magical portal opened up and I was able to go through my computer screen and visit you in Utah and meet everyone. It was a great time until I discovered that the portal didn't work to get back and I was stuck there with no money to buy a flight home. I wonder what that means.
akutyger, if you did get trapped, we are a pretty fun bunch to be stuck with.
ReplyDeletenothing better than a donut eating contest at a halloween party! love the scanned faces!
ReplyDeletePam did you eat a brownie or a cookie???
ReplyDeleteof course not.
ReplyDeletepam, you forgot to mention Ace Hardware to camillitary. I'm only reminding you because I think it's hilarious.
ReplyDeleteACE HARDWARE? Wow. Maybe only in St. George....
ReplyDeleteI do think the brownies look professional, have I told you how much I want to be you yet today?
ReplyDeleteand at least they weren't scanning their bums. That will be next year.
Pam I have to tell you that you look AMAZING! Not that I thought you looked bad before. But when you dropped off that movie to me today, I was thinking as you walked away that you seriously look great! Not eating sugar stinks, but it's working!
ReplyDeletewell geez rach, you just made my day!!
ReplyDeleteand jodi! man, i'm loving these compliments.
and jess, i think i'll permanantly link to your blog post about the party for days when i need an extra boost.
pam- this party looks so great. and although i can't see you in person, i did notice how nice your arms looked holding the tray of brownies. . .
ReplyDeleteI love the scanned faces. That is so funny.
